Dr. Mandy Mitchell, LISW-CP,CGT


Dr. Mitchell is a licensed clinical social worker, licensed supervisor, Certified Gottman Therapist, and Certified Gottman Educator. Dr. Mitchell is a relationship specialist, meaning her focus is primarily on couples and relationships. Her experience working with adults in the various stages of life has given her the insight to assist with an abundance of issues starting with the transition to parenting, maintaining the passion and balance during life with school-age kids, and retiring in a way that feels fulfilling and satisfying.

Dr. Mitchell also hosts The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work couples workshop, as well as Date Nights. Dr. Mitchell is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Grand Canyon University. Her published dissertation focused on the most effective ways to help couples heal from trauma. She created a retreat focused on post-traumatic growth for couples.

Dr. Mitchell often says being in nature and gardening are some of her favorite personal therapies. Her favorite things are spending her time with her children or piddling around in her yard.

Chelsea Copeland, MA, LPC, LCMHC, NCC

Chelsea is a Licensed Professional Counselor with an M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling. She completed Level 3 Gottman training and has been accepted into the Gottman Certification Track.

Over the years, Chelsea has worked with a diverse array of clients, spanning couples, families, individuals, adults, teenagers, and children. Her experience encompasses a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, conflict, betrayal, affairs, addiction, situational intimate partner aggression, ADHD, ASD, trauma, and grief. Further, Chelsea’s graduate studies were completed at a seminary, and she is open to incorporating a faith-based approach into therapy if desired by clients.

Chelsea utilizes evidence-based therapies, including Gottman Method Couples Therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

In her leisure time, Chelsea enjoys being outside, riding her spin bike, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her husband.

Elizabeth "Dee" McElroy, LMSW

Elizabeth "Dee" McElroy is an LMSW at Perspectives Counseling. She has worked in the healthcare industry since 2001. She has had experiences of working as a Team Lead Case Manager at an outpatient mental health clinic, Social Services Director at several Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facilities, and a hospice SW.

Dee completed her undergraduate degree at Rhode Island College with a major in Psychology in 2000.
She completed her MSW at Case Western Reserve University with a concentration in adults with severe mental health diagnoses.

Dee focuses on adults with depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma history. She utilizes theoretical approaches such as CBT, DBT, Trauma Informed Care, Narrative Therapy, and Strength-Based Therapy.
